Extraction & the Relic Codex

Every world's Song was silenced by the Dissonance. Extraction is how you dig it back up: send Avatars to work a Journey node you have already cleared, wait out the dig, and claim a relic β€” a Resonant Echo of that world's lost Voice. Each world has a finite Codex of them (Cinderfall's has 12). Fill it and the world remembers.

One thing to collect (relics), one number to watch (Codex N/12), one choice to make (which cleared node to dig).

Where it lives

Everything is on the Journey map of the world:

  • The header shows πŸ“– Codex N/12 for the world you are looking at. Tap it to see every relic in the Codex as its real art β€” the ones you hold are lit, the rest are dimmed with their number and rarity.
  • Every cleared node carries a dig chip beside its status:
    • ⛏ Dig β€” nothing committed here yet.
    • ⛏ 43% β€” a dig is under way.
    • ✨ Claim relic β€” a dig finished; tap to claim.
    • πŸ”’ Dig β€” you don't hold this world's Cultivator's Codex yet (see below).

Nodes you have not cleared show no chip. Extraction is only ever on ground you have won.

Sonentius β€” the Beyond's dig (no Codex needed)

During The Beyond (Stage 2, Hull) every Sonentius node you have cleared can be dug by everyone β€” there is no Codex to buy. Tap ⛏ Dig and go. The first time you see a diggable Sonentius node, Sonentius, Aspect of the Planet walks you through it herself.

Every Sonentius dig brings up Lattice Resonite β€” always, one per dig β€” and the node's own ground:

Node typeMaterials (one roll per dig)RSNC
StandardSonentite Ore Β· Slag Β· Xeno-Protein Β· Voidsteel Ore Β· Living Resin40–90
SwarmXeno-Protein-heavy: Xeno-Protein Β· Sonentite Ore Β· Slag Β· Living Resin Β· Voidsteel Ore40–90
EliteSonentite Ore Β· Voidsteel Ore Β· Living Resin Β· Cultivated Aetherspore Β· Aetheric Crystal90–160
Boss (all of Chapter 4)Voidsteel Ore Β· Cultivated Aetherspore Β· Living Resin Β· Aetheric Crystal160–300

The dig panel shows this table for the node you are on β€” real art, quantities and odds β€” so you always know what the ground holds before you commit. Lattice Resonite is its own Vestige: there are no duplicates and nothing melts; a dig is simply more Resonite.

Where to use it: take Resonite to Kitchen β€Ί Seasonal and cook Resonite Plating (1 Lattice Resonite + 4 Sonentite Ore β†’ 40 fragments). That is what raises the Hull. The claim ceremony links you straight there.

Dig Power β€” why your strongest Avatars should dig

Dig Power is the Avatar's stats (its HP + ATK + DEF + Speed budget β€” the thing you raise with Essence tiers). Gear does not dig; stats do. Power is only ever a bonus, never a penalty:

BandDig PowerLoot
Faint0+Γ—1
Steady140+Γ—1.25
Strong420+Γ—1.75
Mighty1,120+Γ—3 and rare rows twice as likely
  • A Mighty digger brings up three times the material and RSNC of a fresh one, and finds the rare and mythical rows (Voidsteel, Aetherspore, Aetheric Crystal) twice as often.
  • An Avatar whose element matches the ground digs Γ—1.5 β€” on Sonentius and Cinderfall that is a Volcanic Avatar. The panel names the element for each world.
  • Each committed Avatar shows its band and loot multiplier on its tile ("Mighty Β· Γ—3 loot Β· Volcanic Γ—1.5"), and the loot table scales to your best digger.

How many digs can I run?

  • Up to 3 Avatars per node.
  • Every cleared node can host its own dig at the same time β€” there is no cap on nodes, only on Avatars: an Avatar digs one site at a time.
  • A dig takes 4 hours. Release an Avatar with βœ• at any time; nothing is lost.

The key: the Cultivator's Codex

Each world's Extraction opens with one Research unlock, "Cultivator's Codex β€” <World>", bought for 2 Scrolls in the Research Center. You can buy it straight from the map: tap any πŸ”’ Dig chip or the πŸ”’ Codex pill and the unlock card appears in place, showing the price against your Scroll balance.

The Research Center only lists a world's Codex once that world is open and Extraction is live for you β€” you will never be offered a Codex you cannot use yet.

How a dig works

  1. Tap ⛏ Dig on a cleared node. Up to 3 Avatars can work one node at a time. The panel opens with the node's loot table, the dig length and the Dig Power ladder.
  2. Pick an Avatar from the same tiles you use for Choralis Farms β€” send your strongest (see Dig Power above). An Avatar whose element matches the world digs Γ—1.5. An Avatar that is busy elsewhere (a run, a quest, a producer, a farm) is shown greyed with the reason β€” free it there first.
  3. A committed Avatar is locked across the game until you claim or release the dig (the same rule as every other commitment). Release with βœ• at any time; nothing is lost.
  4. When the bar fills, tap Claim. The ceremony reveals each Avatar's whole haul β€” the relic, the node's material and the RSNC, with the digger's Dig Power β€” and frees the Avatar. Send it back to dig again.

Relics, duplicates and Vestiges

  • Relics come in standard, rare and mythic tiers. Each node favours certain relics β€” a named node (Karsh, Veyla, the Stilled Forge-Hall…) leans hard toward its own memory, and deeper chapters lean toward the rares and the two mythics.
  • The rarity of the relic you surface writes the node's Extract star (β˜… / β˜…β˜… / β˜…β˜…β˜…), the third track beside Fight and Cook.
  • A relic you already hold melts into a Vestige β€” the world's fungible dig material. There is nothing to manage and no duplicate to be annoyed by: Vestiges spend at the world's Artifact shop.

Rune Descent (optional)

When you commit an Avatar you may burn Runes to dig deeper: the dig takes longer, and the odds of a rare or mythic relic rise. Depth never adds a fourth tier and never fails a dig β€” it only shifts the odds.
